While it was a quiet night for many of Indiana County’s first responders, there was some significant activity in the Indiana County area.
At 11:11 last night, Indiana County 911 reported that there was an accident involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle on Route 259 in West Wheatfield Township. State police and Citizen’s Ambulance were initially called to the scene, and about 13 minutes after the initial call, Bolivar Fire Department was called out for landing zone detail, confirming at least one person was flown to a medical facility. Details on the accident have not been released as of yet.
The Indiana Fire Association was also busy at that time, with two calls in rapid succession. The first was an automatic fire alarm that was reported by Indiana County 911 at 11:08 on South 7th Street in Indiana Borough. The second was reported one minute later was for a call labeled as “miscellaneous” on Two Lick Drive in White Township. Indiana Fire Association was called out to that incident as well.
