This year’s ATHENA Award went to Jennifer Walker Meyers, who was nominated by the Quota Club of Indiana. She was unable to accept the award in person, so her husband David Myers accepted on her behalf, and also made sure she said some thank you’s over the phone.
The ATHENA Young Professional award went to Madison Sabo, who was also nominated by Quota International.
The Male Civic Leader award went to Josh Rosenberger of the 700 shop, who said the other finalists were also deserving of the award.
And female civic leader of the year Joyce Sharman was completely surprised that she would receive the award.
This year was a special one for the Male and Female Civic Leaders awards as they celebrated 40 years of existence, and they also celebrated the late Charles Spadafora for being a major part of the ATHENA program, and a special plaque was presented to CJ Spadafora to honor the memory of his father.
