This past week was “Stop Overdoses in PA: Get Help Now” week, and as part of that effort, there was a statewide movement to distribute naloxone to state residents. Another chance to get naloxone for free will come up next week.
For the original effort over the past week, over 4000 naloxone kits were distributed across the state last Wednesday, and the Department of Health has announced that there will be another effort on September 25th to distribute naloxone to those who may need it. One of those distribution points will be in Indiana County. After people receive their naloxone kit, they are invited to share on social media why they carry naloxone.
If you want to pick up a kit of naloxone you can do so from 9 AM to 3 PM at the State Health Center at 75 North 2nd Street.
