In a statement issued Thursday afternoon by United Area High School Athletic Director Cullen Stokes, the Heritage Conference football game between the United Lions and the Homer-Center Wildcats for this Friday has been cancelled.
The following is the statement:
Regrettably, due to unforeseen circumstances, Friday evening’s United Varsity Football Game against Homer-Center has been cancelled.
Please know that the crowning of the 2019 Homecoming Queen will occur this Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Thomas J. Madill Football Field starting at 7:00pm. The United High School Marching Band will entertain during the crowning festivities and will perform their halftime show following the Homecoming Ceremony.
The Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 21st is still on schedule at 6:00 pm in the High School Gymnasium.
