James Marvel has been named the Pirates Minor League Pitcher of the Year.
The 26 year-old Marvel started with the Altoona Curve, where he went 9-5 with a 3.10 ERA in 17 starts.
The Pirates awarded their player of the year to first baseman Mason Martin, who lead Minor League baseball with 35 home runs and 129 RBIs in 131 games for Bradenton and Greensboro.
