IUP senior quarterback Quinton Maxwell has been named the PSAC West Offensive Athlete of the Week.
Maxwell went 12 for 15 for 248 yards and three touchdowns and added a one-yard plunge for a fourth score in Saturday’s win over Millersville. IUP recorded several big plays through the air as Maxwell averaged 20.7 yards per completion and had five throws that covered 20 yards or more.
Maxwell combined with backup Jalen Reese for 399 passing yards on the day, the sixth highest total in program history and the most since a 407-yard output in 2001.
Through two games this season, Maxwell ranks in the top 30 of Division II in six categories, including ninth in passing efficiency (185.3), 11th in completion percentage (.694) and 18th in yards per completion (16.44).
