Once again, the Indiana County Commissioners have tabled approving bids for the Conservation District New Office Building Project.
The bids were received on August 21st, and they have been opened, but according to Byron Stauffer, representing the County Office of Planning and Development, said that more time is needed to go over the bids.
A bid recommendation is expected to come during the next commissioners meeting on September 25th.
In other business, the commissioners approved a resolution to submit a Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program application, seeking up to $350,000 grant through the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission. The money will be used to repair a portion of the Hoodlebug Trail between Cornell Road and the 119 Underpass known as Mile Hill. Stauffer said that the area does need some attention.
Commissioners also approved a lease for the Domestic Relations office to put their office at the county office space on Indian Springs Road.
