Kittanning-based Pennsylvania State Police have issued a missing persons alert for a 3-year-old boy who was apparently taken by his father in a custody dispute.

Police say that on Friday night at 10 o’clock, they and Armstrong County Children & Youth Services went to the area of Armstrong Run Road in Perry Township to take custody of 3-year-old Hollen Hile of Karns City, but the toddler’s father, Patrick Hile, was seen leaving into the woods before they got there. Police were told that there is a camp in the area where it was believed the child had been taken, but they searched the area and did not find him.
Anyone with information on the boy’s whereabouts is urged to contact police at 724-543-2011.
