Indiana Borough Council met last night, and announced that they are dealing with an extended absence of their borough manager, C. Michael Foote.
Foote is out on an extended illness, but the work of the borough has been able to continue while he is recovering. Sean McDaniel of the borough’s administration committee said that the committee wanted to meet with the department heads to make sure that things were running okay. McDaniel added that while there are a few things, they are relatively minor.
While budget season is around the corner for the borough, the department heads have been taking care of some of the preliminary items concerning the budget. It’s not known at this time when Foote will be able to return to duty.
In a related matter, the borough council unanimously approved Foote’s contract with the borough. That contract is a one-year contract retroactive to the start of 2019, and will expire at the end of the year.
