Today is Labor Day, and while many see the day as the unofficial last day of summer, the day is meant to honor the American labor movement and the power of collective action by laborers.
As today is a federal holiday, there will be several closures in effect. Federal, State and Local Government offices are closed. Post offices will be closed today and there will be no mail delivery. Many banks are also closed today as well. PennDOT’s driver’s license centers are closed for today, and there will be no IndiGo bus service today.
State liquor stores, if they are normally open on Monday, will be open today.
