As we head into Labor Day weekend, and many people are thinking about one final trip for summer. And gas prices across the state are slowly going down once again.
As of this morning, Triple-A East Central reports that the average cost of a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania is $2.73 a gallon. That’s three cents less than it was last week, and 31 cents less than it was one year ago at this time. As far as Indiana County goes, the average cost of a gallon of gas is $2.81 a gallon, making it the highest average in the region. The lowest average is Cambria county at $2.70 a gallon. That’s followed by Clearfield at $2.73 a gallon, Jefferson at $2.76, Armstrong at $2.77 a gallon, and Westmoreland County checking in with $2.81 a gallon.
Across the state, Erie County has the highest gas price average at $2.85 a gallon. The cheapest gas price average is in the Altoona region with $2.52 a gallon.
