On the Indiana County Court schedule today, there are several sentencing proceedings and a Plea Court appearance.
Among those scheduled to be sentenced is 31-year-old Jabarie Peters-Barnett of Cliffside Park, New Jersey. Originally charged with 93 criminal offenses, including multiple counts of forgery, access device counterfeiting or altering, theft, retail theft, and receiving stolen property, he pleaded guilty to single felony counts of forgery and access device counterfeiting or altering, and a single misdemeanor count of theft. Peters-Barnett passed fake twenty-dollar bills at both Petco and Olympia Sports in the Southtowne Plaza in White Township last January.
29-year-old Donald Talmadge Griffin of Pittsburgh will be sentenced for a guilty plea to attempted theft by deception.
Two of the defendants to be sentenced today pleaded guilty in drug cases. 26-year-old Troy Keller of Indiana pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver. 39-year-old Adam Hoover of Indiana pleaded guilty to criminal use of a communication facility.
In Plea Court, 39-year-old Brad Simmons of Patton, Cambria County, will enter a plea to a single charge of bad checks.
