INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana borough police are investigating a case of burglary that happened earlier this week. Police say they were called out on August 11th to the 400 block of South 6th Street. The victim reported that a red TREK Marlin 5 bicycle was stolen between 7 PM and 8 PM that night. Anyone with information is asked to call police in Indiana Borough at 724-349-2121.

State police say no one was hurt in a crash in Brush Valley Townhsip on Monday. Troopers say that 32-year-old Shirley Bugay of Seward was driving on Route 954 just south of Snyder road and when going through a downhill left-hand curve, the car’s passenger side front wheel came off. Bugay was able to bring it back under control along the east shoulder of 954 just south of Snyder road. The vehicle had to be towed, but no one in the car, including a 4-year-old and a 9-year-old boy were hurt.
State police are investigating a pair of tire-slashing incidents that happened very close to each other. Troopers say that both incidents were on 11th Street in Center township. Multiple tires were slashed on the car of 21-year-old Christina Belle Franks, and one tire was slashed on the car of 47-year-old Brenda Darr. This happened sometime between 11:30 on August 5th and 6:15 the following morning. The suspect remains unknown at this time and there were no neighbors who saw the incident.
