A Westmoreland County Judge has granted permission for the attorney for Clayton Mibroda to take a look at Indiana County Jail visitation records in connection with an investigation into a statement made that Mibroda was not responsible for the death of his infant daughter.
According to court documents, Mibroda’s new attorney Timothy Andrews was given permission by the court to submit an order to the Indiana County prison to show the names of visitors between January 15th and February 12th of 2009. If records exist that point out any relevant visitors came to see him during that time, he can travel to the prison to review the records.
Mibroda is appealing the 2013 third degree murder conviction and sentence in the death of 20-day-old Natalee, who died due to a blunt force trauma to the head. Mibroda has claimed since then that the child’s mother, Kayla Lichtenfels, was the real killer. Last year, Brandon Green had sent a letter to Mibroda, claiming his innocence, and during a hearing earlier this year Green testified that she had essentially confessed to her killing. Lichtenfels has denied all charges involved in this case.
