In Indiana County Court today, eight defendants are slated for sentencing for guilty pleas to a variety of crimes.
39-year-old Mandy Lynn Boxler of Nanty Glo will be sentenced for guilty pleas to simple assault and harassment, with agreement for non-prosecution on additional charges that include four more counts of simple assault and harassment, and three counts each of unlawful restraint and false imprisonment. The charges were filed last January by Homer City Police.
48-year-old Jeffrey Scott Stokes of Ernest will be sentenced for aggravated indecent assault of a victim less than 16 years of age and statutory sexual assault of a victim over eleven years of age. The incident happened on New Year’s Day, 2018.
Two defendants will be sentenced for charges related to methamphetamine, stemming from the same criminal investigation last January in the parking lot of the Burrell Township Walmart. 30-year-old Aaron James Wisner of Bolivar and 27-year-old Kayla Marie Hritz of Johnstown each pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver. Two other defendants in that case are still in the court system…Amy Hillegas of Seward is awaiting formal arraignment later this month. Chad Cahill of Armagh pleaded guilty to the same charge as Wisner and Hritz and will be sentenced on September 30th. Cahill also has another meth lab case pending. Police busted up the meth operation when they were called to the store for a retail theft.
34-year-old Charles Bradley Dukes of Strongstown will be sentenced for criminal trespass in two burglary cases.
Ibn Amir McClain, once a prisoner at SCI Pine Grove and now house at SCI Coal Township, will be sentenced for aggravated harassment by a prisoner.
54-year-old Michael Hoy of Clymer will be sentenced for simple assault.
Plea Court appearances are scheduled today for four defendants in Indiana County Court.
SCI Pine Grove inmate 18-year-old Ryshawn Crawford, who was found guilty earlier this week of aggravated harassment by a prisoner for throwing urine on a corrections officer, will plead to the same offense in a separate case.
48-year-old Christina Benematti of Commodore will plead today to five counts each of identity theft, theft, receiving stolen property, and unauthorized device access. She’s accused of misusing credit cards stolen from a Homer City man and, with an accomplice, running up $40,000 in charges.
39-year-old Crystal Thornsberry of Marion Center will enter pleas today to twelve counts of neglect of animals. She operated Heart Felt Equine Rescue in Conemaugh Township, but is accused of neglecting horses there and at another property in Rochester Mills. Two of the horses, a mare and its newborn baby, were found dead in a field.
35-year-old David Bratcher of Alverda will enter pleas today to charges of theft, receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and DUI controlled substance.
