Linda L. McKendrick, 62, of Indiana, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at her home.
A daughter of the late Verner F. and Helen E. Shultz Dilts, she was born March 21, 1957, in Elmira, N.Y.
Mrs. McKendrick was a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, sewing, watching crime dramas on television and doing word search puzzles.
She is survived by five children: Joseph A. McKendrick, of Corsica; Amanda L. Smith and husband Michael, of Indiana; Edward J. McKendrick and wife Jessica, of Indiana; Matthew C. McKendrick, of Indiana; Shawn C. McKendrick and Jess Rice, of Indiana; four step children: Larry McKendrick, of Brush Valley; Joey McKendrick, of Brush Valley; Kelly Heckman, of Brush Valley; six brothers: Cecil W. Dilts, Sr., and wife Margie, of Black Lick; David Dilts and wife Twila, of Penn Run; Verner E. Dilts, of Black Lick; William C. Dilts, of Indiana; Fred A. Dilts, of Aultman; Ralph Dilts, of Clymer; 13 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark J. McKendrick, Sr.; a son, Verner F. McKendrick, Sr.; and a granddaughter, Alysha Taylor.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Jack Lucas officiating.
