Tonight, Indiana borough police department will hold their first ever “National Night Out” event.
The event tonight will be held from 5-8 PM at IRMC Park, and will feature activities for the entire family, but the event’s focus is to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie in an effort to make communities safer.
Indiana Borough Police Chief Justin Schawl said it’s a chance for the police to interact with the community.

Indiana borough police will be joined by the IUP police department, Indiana County Sheriffs, State Police, Citizens Ambulance, Indiana Fire Association, Indiana County Emergency Management and the Army National Guard for the event.
Tonight’s events are free and open to the public.
