The Pirates’ bullpen blew another lead last night as the Bucs lost to the New York Mets, 7-5.
Starter Chris Archer exited with a 3-1 lead after six innings, but reliever Michael Feliz gave up a pinch-hit solo homer to Jeff McNeil and Kyle Crick surrendered a two-run blast to Wilson Ramos in the eighth. In the ninth, Chris Stratton completed the abysmal bullpen performance by giving up a bases-loaded three-run double to Ramos.
Bryan Reynolds had four hits for the Pirates and Starling Marte had three hits, including a two-run homer in the 9th inning.
The Bucs will try to win the series this afternoon with Joe Musgrove on the mound.
