Indiana borough police are warning people about an attempt to lure children into a vehicle.
Police say on August 1st, they were called out to the 300 block of North 3rd Street for what they called “past occurred suspicious activity.” It was reported to them that sometime between 1:00 and 2:30 in the afternoon, a group of children were playing on the sidewalk when a blue Jeep pulled up and asked them if they wanted candy. When the children said “no”, the vehicle left.
The vehicle was driven by a woman described as white and middle aged with white hair. The passenger in the vehicle was described as a white heavy-set man with facial hair, possibly a mustache, and wearing a ball cap.
Police are asking everyone to remain vigilant to any suspicious activity and to contact the borough police if any concerns arise. You can call them with those concerns or if you have any information at 724-349-2121.
