It’s not everyday that you get to see firefighters fixing a car instead of tearing it apart to rescue someone, but that’s just what happened on Indian Springs Road in White Township.
Indiana County 911 reported the incident around 5:11 PM on Friday on Indian Springs Road. And according to a report from their Facebook page, a crew of three firefighters and one junior member responded to the parking lot of the office complex across from the Palace Gardens Drive-in, as a silver sedan had started to leak fuel in the parking lot.
After the use of a few pads to soak up the fuel, and some flex-seal to seal up the leaks, and in their words “a lot of patience,” they had the leak stopped.
Few details are available on the other calls that Indiana County first responders were called out for, including:
- A vehicle accident on Oneida Mine Road in Buffington Township. Vintondale and Brush Valley fire departments responded, along with Citizens Ambulance and State Police were called out at 8:29 PM
- An Automatic Fire Alarm Activation on Pratt Drive in White Township. Indiana Fire Association was called out at 10:42 PM.
