The Pirates’ losing streak has reached eight after an 8-7 defeat to the Mets Sunday. New York scored six runs off losing pitcher Chris Archer in the first inning, then held off a ninth inning charge by the Bucs to secure the victory.
Bryan Reynolds and Jose Osuna each hit two-run homers. The Pirates have dropped 14 of 16 games since the All Star break.
They move into Cincinnati to play the Reds tonight. The pregame is set for 7:45 p.m. on WCCS AM 1160 and 101.1 FM.
