William D. Brown, age 77 of Indiana, died Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Communities at Indian Haven after a courageous 25 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease.
He was born in 1942 to Donald D. and Ruth Dorothea Straw Brown.
Bill was a veteran of Cuban Missile Crisis while he served in the US Navy. He served on the USS Mills and the USS Hartley as an electrician mate.
After his service, he was employed with Penelec for 28 years. He was also employed by Diamond Pharmacy Services and Advanced Auto Parts.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles especially his Honda Gold Wing.
Bill is survived by two children – William Scott Brown and wife Tish, Cary, NC; Lori A. Brown, Indiana; two grandchildren – Evan R. Kunkle, Pittsburgh; Courtney A. (Kunkle) Humphreys and husband Kyle, Indianapolis, IN; two sisters – Ruth Ann McCully and husband Phillip, Indiana; Nancy Jane Oblinsky and husband Robert, Indiana; and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
