The State Department of Environmental Protection has announced that one million dollars in grant funding is now available for Pennsylvania small businesses and farmers for energy efficiency, pollution prevention, and natural resource protection projects.
The Small Business Advantage Grant Program will provide money for several eligible projects, including adopting or acquiring equipment or processes that reduce energy use or pollution. Some examples include HVAC and boiler upgrades, high-efficency LED lighting or auxiliary power units that are used as anti-idling machines for trucks.
This year, the program does have some new parts to it, with opportunities for small businesses owners to install hot water systems for their business operations.
Applications will be considered on a first-come first-served bas is and will be accepted until all the grant funding is gone.
