A day after erasing a 5-0 deficit and losing, the Altoona Curve erased a 6-0 deficit and won, beating Bowie 8-6 yesterday. Bligh Madris hit a game-tying three-run homer in the 8th inning and Chris Sharpe smacked a two-run shot in the 9th to cap the Curve’s 30th comeback win of the year and avoid a four-game sweep in Maryland. Madris and Jared Oliva each had two hits for Altoona.
The Curve return home today to start a four-game series with Erie. Brandon Waddell (2-1, 2.67 ERA) gets the start for Altoona. Gametime is 6:30.
