On the night they honored the 1979 World Series champion Pirates, the Bucs last night beat the Phillies, 5-1.
Joe Musgrove struck out eight and gave up only two hits over six innings, and sparked the offense with a third inning double in a three-run third inning. Starling Marte had three hits for the Pirates.
Musgrove moved up in the rotation to pitch in place of scheduled starter Trevor Williams, who missed the game with the flu. Rookie Dario Agrazal will pitch for the Pirates today against the Phils’ newly-signed Drew Smyly.
