One person had serious injuries in a crash involving a dump truck Friday afternoon in Armstrong Township.
State police say around 1:40 PM, Domenic Coleman of Shelocta was getting on Route 422 from the Parking Lot of Dollar General near Miller Drive while a truck hauling hot asphalt driven by Mark Lapp of Coral was going West. Coleman’s SUV pulled into Lapp’s path the truck and the truck swerved off the road and crashed. One person had to be extricated from the wreckage.

Coleman was not injured, but Lapp suffered what police call a suspected serious injury as was life-flighted from the scene to Forbes Regional Medical Center in Monroeville for treatment.
Elderton Firefighters were on the scene along with State Police and Citizen’s ambulance.
