PennDOT says there will be nighttime paving operations taking place this weekend at the intersection of Routes 119 and 56 in Homer City.
It’s another step in the $15.25 million Homer City Three Bridges Project, which began in June of 2017. In addition to the rebuilding of a northbound and a southbound bridge, the work has included the elimination of the bridges over Tide Road and an abandoned private railroad, with Tide Road reconfigured to become an intersection with 119. The highway has also been widened, with new concrete separator barriers between the northbound and southbound lanes. A new traffic signal for the dangerous Route 119/Route 56 intersection is also planned.
The paving this weekend will take place between Friday at 8 PM and Saturday at 6 AM.
