State police are currently investigating three people connected with a suspected methamphetamine lab in a home in South Mahoning Township.
State police were tipped off at 1:14 PM on Monday, July 15th to a suspected methamphetamine lab at 49 Hardship Drive in South Mahoning Township. When troopers got there, they gained consent for a search, but during the search, troopers found several items inside the home consistent with meth production.
State police then called in the Clandestine Laboratory Response team to safely process, inventory and collect the suspected meth-related contraband, and the scene was processed without incident. Based upon this investigation, police are investigating three suspects: a 37-year-old Smicksburg man, a 33-year-old man from Home, and a 30-year-old woman from Penn Run. The names of the suspects have not been released, as charges have not been filed. But some of the charges that could be filed include Operating a meth lab and illegal dumping of methamphetamine waste, possession of liquefied ammonia gas and other chemicals, manufacturing a controlled substance, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and possession of pseudoephedrine for meth manufacture.
