Several Preliminary hearings are scheduled for today in Indiana County’s district courts, including one for a man from Altoona who faces charges of endangering the welfare of children, reckless endangerment, terroristic threats, and possession of a weapon by persons not allowed to have one.
39-year-old Jesse Brendon Sul will face District Judge Christopher Welch this morning facing om charges that are connected with an incident on September 1st of 2017. State police say they received a report from Childline and Indiana County CYS regarding allegations of three children reporting that they had guns pointed at their heads. In the first incident two of the children were stacking firewood, when Sul became upset with the two. The anger continued into the next day when they refused to get a beer for him. That’s when he pulled a pistol and pointed at them. One of the children believed the gun was loaded. In the second incident, one of the victims, a girl, said that Sul became mad at their pet goat, and threatened to shoot it. When she tried to grab the gun, Sul pointed the gun at her.
Also in court this morning will be Charles Eugene Bouch of Commodore, who faces charges of theft by deception, criminal mischief, and failure to perform services paid for. These charges go back to an incident on November 10th of 2017. The preliminary hearing was postponed until today after they tried to hold one last month.
