State police have charged a Commodore man with assault and threatening someone with a gun. State police say this happened at 7:23 PM on Friday at a home on Valley Road in Commodore. Police say that the suspect, Garry Frank Faber of Commodore threatened the victim, an un-named woman, with the loaded shotgun in front of their five-year-old son. When troopers got to the scene, they found that Faber had barricaded himself inside the home and refused to come out. Troopers were able to surround the property and after a few hours, Faber surrendered and was apprehended.
State police issued a non-traffic citation against a Creekside man who was under the influence of marijuana during a disturbance at Mark Park. Police say this started on April 9 around 8:45. The defendant, 38-year-old Gary Smith of Creekside was under the influence of a form of marijuana that was found on his person. It is believed that Smith caused a disturbance while he was under the influence, and he may have endangered himself or other people or property.
INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police reports that they are investigating a theft from an apartment complex on Philadelphia Street. Officers said the theft was on July 4tha round 3:25. Police believe Justin Spiaggi may have taken the bike belonging to a known 12-year-old boy, from the 700 block of Philadelphia Street. Police later filed a criminal complaint.
