One person is spending Independence Day in the hospital after a crash earlier this morning in Blairsville Borough.
Indiana County 911 reported that the call went out at 4:35 this morning for a motor vehicle crash on North Walnut Street. Representatives with the Blairsville Fire Department said that the car collided with a tree, and the impact pushed the car onto its roof. The driver, who was not identified, had to be extricated from the vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
North Walnut Street is open at this time as crews have finished cleaning up the crash site, but the investigation is continuing. Blairsville firefighters were joined on-scene by Citizens Ambulance, Blairsville police and the Black Lick fire department
