A Brush Valley Township man is in the Indiana County Jail after his arrest yesterday for a marijuana growing operation and for possessing materials used in the production of methamphetamine.
Although police do not name the suspect, court records confirm he is 42-year-old Ted Allem Rohrabaugh of Homer City. Police went to his home along Pine Valley Road, where they found 25 mature marijuana plants and items related to the manufacture of meth inside the home. The State Police Clandestine Laboratory Response Team was summoned to process the scene and collect the materials.
Rohrabaugh is charged with felony counts of possessing a precursor substance with intent to unlawfully manufacture, possession with intent to deliver, operating a methamphetamine lab, storing chemical waste, and risking a catastrophe. In addition, he faces misdemeanor counts of possessing ephedrine, possessing both a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, recklessly endangering, and receiving stolen property.
At his arraignment yesterday, District Judge Susanne Steffee set bond at $150,000.
State police strongly encourage anyone with information on suspected illegal drug activity to contact them or their local law enforcement agency. Anonymous reports may be made toll-free 24 hours a day at 1-877-PA-NODRUGS.
