The start of the new school year at IUP is nine weeks away, and the summer construction season on campus continues with a new project getting underway today. It’s the next phase in the conversion of Grant Street from a motor vehicle roadway to a pedestrian plaza. The street will feature new concrete walkways and brick paving.
Also today, two steam tunnel replacement projects are scheduled to begin on Pratt Drive.
Ongoing work elsewhere on campus includes the conversion of the basement of Stabley Library to new University College offices, including a new front entrance vestibule and plaza.
