Paving crews will be busy with paving projects all throughout Indiana borough.
The summer paving gets underway today with the following schedule.
- South 4th street from Philadelphia Street to Grandview Avenue
- 300 Block of School Street
- 400 Block of Grant Street
- 400 Block of Elm Street
- The “00” block of North 8th Street
- The Borough’s parking lot behind Grace Church
Dave Fairman of Indiana Borough’s Public works said that the roads will close while the work goes on, and the closures have started with the closure of 4th Street this morning, so there will be some extra traffic on Philadelphia street. Also, there will be no parking allowed on the streets during the roadwork.
Fairman is still encouraging the public to contact him if there are any potholes or other road issues that they find in the road.

Milling will be the focus of workers this week, with paving starting next week.
