Authorities in Allegheny County have arrested an East Pittsburgh man wanted on charges of raping a woman at IUP in October of 2017.
20-year-old Donte Robinson-Vearnon was taken into custody by Allegheny County sheriff’s deputies at about 6 o’clock last night at an apartment along Grandview Avenue in East Pittsburgh. Robinson-Vearnon was found hiding in a bedroom after the deputies forced their way into the apartment. He surrendered without incident and was taken to the Allegheny County Jail, where he will remain until he is brought to Indiana County for arraignment.
Robinson-Vearnon is charged with four felony counts: rape of an unconscious victim, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with an unconscious person, aggravated indecent assault without consent, and aggravated indecent assault of an unconscious or unaware person. The charges were filed on March 20th of this year. He was arrested on a fugitive warrant after failing to appear for a hearing on drug charges filed in McKeesport.
