The budget was also brought up for the Homer-Center School Board as well.
The budget approved by the board tops out at $18,605,916. The board also approved holding the line on property taxes at 16.5091 mils. This marks the third year that the board is holding the line on taxes. Board President Michael Bertig said that a conservative budget from their business manager Greg Cessna is one of the reasons why they have no tax increases for a third consecutive year.

Also last night, District Superintendent Dr. Charles Koren announced his retirement coming up in early September. Bertig talked about the impact Dr. Koren had in his seven years at Homer Center.
