PennDOT crews will begin to drill this week in the area of Sportsman Club Road in Shelocta to determine the cause of some road subsidence.
The subsidence happened on June 2nd and resulted in a one-foot drop in the roadway. The road closure starts at Parkwood Road and ends at Route 156 just outside of Shelocta. It is expected to re-open in mid-July.
A detour has been set up which will follow Sportsman Club Road to Parkwood Road to Route 422 to State Route 1056 near the Exxon Station, then back on to Sportsman Club Road.
