Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate has gone basically unchanged over the month of May, remaining at 3.8%, the record low level set in April.
The estimated number of residents working or looking for work was unchanged from April at 6,471,00. Employment levels went up by 1000 and unemployment declined 1000. Total non-farm jobs rose in May to 6,051,400 jobs. That’s the sixth consecutive month that the number of non-farm jobs went up. Jobs went up in five of the 11 industry super-sectors.
Federal unemployment rates also went unchanged over the month of April, remaining at 3.6 Percent.
