The long-rumored transfer of United’s Kyle Silk to Ligonier Valley has been confirmed.
A picture surfaced on social media this week with Silk and some Rams’ players, and Silk has told the Tribune Review that he transferred because he had “some personal problems” at United and was looking for a fresh start.
Silk was a second-team all-state “athlete” selection last year as the United quarterback, linebacker, punter, and kicker.
He is enrolled at Ligonier Valley as a senior and lives in the district. PIAA rules will require a District 6 review to determine his eligibility for district and state playoffs.
Silk also averaged 14 points per game with the united basketball team last season.
