Indiana Borough Police say two suspects were taken into custody yesterday and one remains at large after an attempted robbery at an apartment on North Foundry Avenue early Sunday morning.
Police were dispatched after a 911 hang-up call at 3:54 AM. When they arrived, they were told that three Indiana residents, 38-year-old Jerome Robinson, 38-year-old Percy Spearman, and 24-year-old Doneisha Thomas, had arrived at the apartment demanding money. An argument ensued and the suspects forced their way in, where they fought with the victims. The victims suffered minor injuries, and one juvenile was later treated at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
All three suspects are charged with felony aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass, riot, and two counts of robbery. They are also charged with misdemeanor terroristic threats, recklessly endangering, theft, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct engaging in fighting.
Thomas has two additional charges of false identification to law enforcement.
Both Thomas and Robinson are being held at the county jail, with bond set at $75,000. Robinson has another active burglary case in Indiana County, in which he’s also charged with assault and related offenses. He was free on $30,000 unsecured bond because the victim did not show up at his hearing.
Anyone with information on Percy Spearman’s whereabouts should call borough police at 349-2121.
