The Altoona Curve lost to Harrisburg last night, 4-2, stranding the tying and winning runs on base in the bottom of the ninth. Jason Delay struck out swinging to end the game with the bases loaded as the Curve left a season-high fourteen runners on base in the game.
The Senators scored all four of their runs, two earned, over the first five innings, all off loser Sean Brady, who fell to 2-7 on the season.
Altoona’s Jared Oliva extended his on-base streak to 13 games with a two-hit night, Bligh Madris reached base safely four times with two singles and two walks.
Game two of the series tonight ends the season’s first half. Manager Michael Ryan has not named his starter for tonight.
