Indiana borough has announced that there will be some work done at the municipal lot on 8th Street, and the lot will close during that work.
Starting on Monday, the 8th Street Parking Lot behind the Artist hand will close for renovations. This will complement the extension of the Hoodlebug Trail into Indiana Borough which will connect Indiana Borough to the regional trail later this year.
The work on the parking lot will include repaving and re-striping to include handicapped parking, leased and metered spaces. The renovations will also include the infrastructure for electric vehicle charging stations and a rain garden for storm water management.
Work on the lot will be done intermittently throughout the summer.
