IUP senior attacker Ally Burrows has been named a 2019 Division II third team All-American. She becomes IUP’s ninth All-American and first since 2016 after scoring 57 goals this past season, tied for the third highest single season mark in program history.
A first team All-Atlantic Region selection, Burrows was one of the top scorers in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), ranking first with 3.35 goals per game and second with 4.41 points per game.
Burrows posted 12 games of at least three goals in 2019, including a season-high seven in IUP’s win over Gannon. She scored six on two separate occasions – in the season-opener against Findlay and at Edinboro, both IUP victories.
One of the best goal scorers in PSAC history, she finished her career with an IUP record 219 goals, a mark that also stands fifth in conference history. Burrows’ 266 career points is third most for IUP behind former All-Americans Alexa Lodovici and Amy Weinberg.
Burrows also leaves IUP as a three-time IWLCA all-region selection and a four-time All-PSAC honoree, earning Freshman of the Year honors in 2016.
She led IUP in scoring as a sophomore, junior and senior, and owns four of the 10 highest single season goal scoring seasons in program history.
