Carolyn J. “Chubby” Ceccoli, age 80, of Indiana, died Tuesday,
June 4, 2019 at Rose Haven Personal Care Home.
She was born in 1939 in Barnesboro, (now Northern Cambria) to
Romeo and Carmella Caligiuri Sabella.
Mrs. Ceccoli was a member of St. Thomas More University
Parish, and a member of
Alhambra which helps mentally challenged children.
She was a 1957 graduate of Barnesboro High School where she
was a majorette. She was employed at Wolfe’s Furniture in
Barnesboro, and at various banks as a teller. She was also a food
service worker at Cambria Heights School District.
She enjoyed golfing, crafts, cooking, traveling to Walt Disney
World, and was very supportive of her daughter Angela’s
equestrian activities.
She is survived by her daughter Angela M. Corte and husband
Mark, Indiana; three sisters – Mary Lou “Tootsie” Sabella,
Northern Cambria; Dolores Hoover, Patton; Theresa Golias and
husband John, Johnstown; one brother-in-law – Jerry Ceccoli and
wife Anna Marie, Soyersville; one niece – Dana Hoover,
Northern Cambria; two nephews – Michael Hoover and wife
Renee, Patton; Brian Golias and wife Jennifer, Cranberry
Township; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Daniel R.
Ceccoli in 2012, two sisters – E. “Honey” Chervenak, Dolly
Sabella, and by two brothers-in-law – Louis Chervenak and Hal
Hoover.
She was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law Mary
Ceccoli, two sisters-in-law – Lillian Januszko and husband
Joseph, Alice Nastawa and husband Frank, and her
brother-in-law – John Ceccoli.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M.
at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 A.M. at St.
Thomas More University Parish, Indiana
