Altoona’s Hunter Owen hit a walk-off two-run homer to give the Curve a 4-3 win over New Hampshire last night.
The Curve (24-28) went into the bottom of the ninth trailing, 3-2. Logan Hill hit a leadoff single just ahead of Owen’s line-drive over the left-field wall for his 12th long ball and the Curve’s second walk-off win of the season.
Angel German earned the win in relief. German struck out the side in order in the ninth to complete his fourth consecutive hitless, scoreless outing. Curve starter Sean Brady had a good outing, giving up two runs on five hits with two strikeouts and three walks in 6.1 innings.
Owen and Hill each had three hits for Altoona, which will send lefty Domingo Robles to the mound today in the series finale.
