Barbara Rose (Stark) Henry, 82, of Blairsville, PA passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at her home.
The daughter of Valentin and Barbara (Goller) Stark, she was born March 17, 1937 in Bamberg, Germany.
Mrs. Henry was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Coral Site, and a knitting club.
She worked at Torrance State Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1996.
She enjoyed getting together for German lunches and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Bill Henry and Tony Henry (Amy), two daughters, Angelina Pender (Brian) and Sylvia Dirienzo (David), all of Blairsville, six grandchildren, Krystal Clem, Kayla McCleary, Troy Dirienzo, Ashley Dirienzo, Dylan Dirienzo and Brenna Henry, three great grandchildren, Madison, Connor and Jacob, a brother, Geo Stark of Alming Stadt, Germany and a sister, Erna Stubenrauch of Munich, Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William E. Henry on September 30, 1972 and a brother, Willi Stark.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday in Our Lady of the Assumption, Coral Site.
Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Coral, PA.
