Memorial Day observances today include ceremonies in area cemeteries and parades in several communities.
Here is a list of some of the events:
- Indiana’s Memorial Day observance will be at 10:30 AM at Memorial Park.
- Blairsville will hold a parade at 10:30 AM, with services afterward at the Blairsville Cemetery Veterans’ Circle.
- Plumville will hold its annual Memorial Day parade and service at 11 AM, and Marion Center will have its parade at 1 o’clock and service afterward at around 1:30 at the Marion Center Cemetery.
- The Homer City American Legion Post 493 will hold its Memorial Day service at 11 AM.
- The Rossiter American Legion Post 582 will conduct services this morning at seven cemeteries in northern Indiana County, followed by an 11 AM ceremony at Rossiter Memorial Park. Services will begin at 9 AM at Pearce Cemetery, then proceed at fifteen-minute intervals to Devers Cemetery, Fairview Cemetery, Pine Grove Cemetery, Pine Cemetery, Union Cemetery, and Rossiter Catholic Cemetery.
- A service will be held at Iselin Union Cemetery at 11 AM.
