German Marquez did not allow a run in eight innings of work as the Rockies blanked the Bucs, 5-0, last night, stopping the Pirates three-game winning streaks.
The Pirates also saw catcher Francisco Cervelli leaving the game after six innings after taking a foul tip to the chest.
The Pirates will again go to relief pitcher Montana DuRapau to start tonight’s game. Pregame is at 6:40 p.m. on WCCS AM 1160 and 101.1 FM.
