The Homer-Center School Board meets tonight, with an agenda chock full of preparations for the next school year.
The major agenda item is the approval of a tentative budget. The board will consider an $18,162,057 spending plan, with no tax increase and the transfer of $915,122 from the General Fund to the Capital Reserve Fund. If approved, the proposed budget would be advertised starting on Thursday.
The school board will also consider a $520,159 contract for lighting and mechanical improvements through the ESCO energy savings program, and a budget item for the addition of a set of stairs at the high school building, at a cost of $194,963.
There are a number of appointments of personnel on the agenda, along with requests for the use of district facilities and other items of preparation for the summer and the start of the 2019-2020 school year.
The public portion of the meeting is scheduled for 7:30 at the Central Office Board Room.
