The company expects to have the massive building ready to go in early August, and yesterday it went live with a job posting seeking fifty workers.
PA Careerlink forwarded the information yesterday. URBN’s posting reads, “Career Opportunities: Urban Outfitters Inc. Material Handler”. The job will pay $12.60 per hour to start, with two shifts working seven days a week.
The distribution center will eventually build to an estimated 225 employees, handling the company’s furniture line. The company has already been hiring managers who will handle the interviews and hiring of the workforce.

The warehouse associate is responsible for safely and efficiently moving product to fulfill orders. This position will work in a 980,000 Square Foot facility in Indiana PA. The facility specializes in large furniture items that ship across North America. Specifically, the associate will operate Power Industrial Trucks (e.g. forklifts); track the progress of the order in a Warehouse Management System; and ensure the product handling and storage protects our customer’s product. This position will be on one of two shifts that covers a 7-day per week operation.
